I am incredibly upset to hear that you voted for the NDAA with its restrictions on gender affirming care. Of all the senators out there to support a bill restricting LGBTQ rights, I NEVER would have expected to see your name on the list.
I am beyond disappointed in you.
The legislative provision restricting gender-affirming care for minors within the military community under the National Defense Authorization Act is an injustice that must be undone. This discriminatory policy creates harmful barriers to essential medical care for transgender youth and further marginalizes an already vulnerable population. As public servants, your responsibility is to uphold the rights and dignity of all Americans, including the children of those who serve in our armed forces. We must now work ardently to promote inclusivity by reversing this misguided measure and protecting the medical freedom of transgender individuals and their families.
