Congress must reaffirm that the United States military answers to them!

I am very angry that Trump has gotten us into yet another endless Middle East War. There was no imminent threat as required by our Constitution. If Iran even had enriched uranium, it would have been months before they could gave produced a bomb. The New York Times, CNN,  Reuters, & other news outlets cited unnamed American officials with access to intelligence about Iran's missile programs who said Trump exaggerated the immediacy of the threat to the U.S. Reuters reported that Trump administration officials acknowledged in closed-door briefings with congressional staff on Sunday that there was no intelligence suggesting Iran planned to attack U.S. forces first. In addition, the Administrstion made no provisions for Americans in the Middle East , leaving them Americans stranded with no flights our available. This was not just poor planning- it shows a callous l disregard for American lives. Congress must ensure that U.S. military operations are justified by lawful authorization and strategic necessity — not by prophecy or nationalist theology. I strongly urge you to: 1. Pass the the bipartisan war powers resolution, and stop the Trump administration from launching military strikes on Iran without congressional authorization. 2. . Support immediate hearings before the House and Senate Armed Services Committees. 3. Request sworn testimony from Department of Defense leadership regarding guidance on religious neutrality in official communications. 4. Direct the DoD Inspector General to investigate whether sectarian or eschatological messaging has occurred in operational briefings. 5. Publicly and unequivocally affirm that U.S. military policy is grounded in constitutional authority, not religious mandate. Protecting the separation of church and state is not hostility toward religion; it is the safeguard that protects all Americans equally. This is not about party affiliation. Congress must act decisively to reaffirm that the United States military answers to the Constitution alone. Thank you.
