Reject Russell Vought's OMB Nomination - Threat to Vital Programs

To: Sen. Blumenthal, Rep. Courtney, Sen. Murphy

From: A constituent in Pomfret Center, CT

February 6, 2025

I share grave concerns about confirming Russell Vought as the Director of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB). As the chief architect of Project 2025, Vought poses a significant threat to vital government programs that millions of Americans rely on. His extreme ideology of slashing funding indiscriminately, privatizing services like housing, and dismantling the federal workforce will have devastating consequences for working families across the country. From freezing funds for childcare and healthcare to undermining aid for veterans and efforts to combat disease outbreaks, Vought's policies will directly harm the well-being and financial security of ordinary citizens. I urge you to reject this dangerous nomination and prevent someone with such a reckless, anti-government agenda from taking control of the OMB and implementing his destructive vision of Project 2025.
