We are about to make a mistake that will cripple many small businesses, exacerbate the affordability crisis, hamper the effectiveness of first responders trying to save lives and fight crime, and use socialist tactics to circumvent the free market and healthy competition. With absolutely zero evidence of any real security threat, we are about to ban Chinese made drones under false pretenses. Even though numerous studies have shown these drones to be safe, legislative actions driven by lobbyists for competing manufacturers are about to cause these manufacturers to be added to the FCC covered list. In many cases, alternative drones for marketing photography, digital mapping, agricultural crop treatment, and other industries are either completely unavailable or far more expensive while being inferior in capability. Please solve this crisis before it starts. Fund an detailed audit of these devices and assign it to the appropriate agency, and allow time for that audit to be completed before putting me and many other out of business.
