Telehealth, a vital healthcare option for Americans from diverse backgrounds, deserves our continued support. As a concerned constituent, I urge you to advocate for legislation that ensures its accessibility to the American people.
On December 31, 2024, the telehealth flexibilities implemented by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and supported by pandemic response legislation will expire unless Congress intervenes. To preserve this vital healthcare service, I strongly recommend supporting the following bills:
- The CONNECT for Health Act of 2023 (H.R. 4189/S. 2016)
- The Telehealth Modernization Act of 2024 introduced by Representatives Carter (R-GA) and Blunt Rochester (D-De.)
Telehealth has demonstrated its safety, effectiveness, and cost-effectiveness in delivering medical care, especially during the past four years. By supporting these bills, we can ensure that telehealth remains an accessible and reliable healthcare option for all Americans.
I depend on telehealth when it is difficult for me to make my appointments.
