The Senate and House are planning steep cuts to Medicaid and SNAP, which provides school lunches to poor children. Hungry children cannot learn. Do not vote - please - to provide tax breaks for the wealthy by cutting benefits for the poor. According to multiple sources, 92% of eligible Medicaid recipients work. Many of the other eight percent are elderly. Do not achieve budgetary goals by creating more poverty and suffering amongst the indigent, children, and elderly. Cruelty and selfishness are not qualities our society should reward.
