Oppose KOSA, STOP CSAM, the Sammy Act, and other bills.

To: Sen. Warnock, Sen. Ossoff, Rep. Carter

From: A constituent in Hinesville, GA

November 19

Members of ICE and law enforcement were caught trafficking innocent people. But the blame is still unfairly placed on the Internet, media, and on pornography as a whole. KOSA, STOP CSAM and other proposed bills are not equipped to deal with the true culprits. Instead, they were made to silence victims of sexual predators, assault, abuse and more crimes. The Interstate Obscenity Definition Act would censor accounts of people looking to speak about their experiences, victimizing countless women, men, and children even more than if the law was not in place. Imagine not being able to share your story because what you disclose has been made illegal to draw or write. FOSTA and SESTA have punished more sex workers and victims of trafficking than culprits and predators, and a member of NCOSE even admitted that the true purpose of it was to punish sex workers and outgroups, not to protect anyone. Age verification is also a danger to victims, because they are forced to enter sensitive information and have it exposed to potential stalkers. This has to stop.
