The hypocrisy of Texas' lawmakers is plain in the legislation that they vote for and against. HB 168 is a law that would end child marriages in Texas, Yet the very same authors of SB 20 voted against it. SB 20 still has yet to be amended so that legal speech won't be banned while AI generated CSEM would rightfully be banned, But they voted to criminalize speech that doesn't involve a victim. What's the logic with this? Is this the mindset of all senators and House members who claim to protect children? Child marriages do irreparable harm to minors and their lives, but banning animation and fiction will do nothing for victims. Oppose or amend SB 20.
