The Speaker's move to prevent a vote on ending the President's tariffs on Mexico, Canada, and China represents a disturbing abdication of Congressional authority. These harmful tariffs are disrupting markets, raising costs for American consumers and businesses, and straining relations with key trading partners. Congress has a constitutional duty to provide oversight and serve as a check on executive overreach. Shielding members from having to take a public stance on this critical issue is an unacceptable dereliction of duty. I urge you to vote against the continuing resolution and force an up-or-down vote to terminate the President's destructive tariff policies. The American people deserve accountability and responsible leadership from their elected representatives in confronting this misguided trade war.
