The creation of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) under unelected billionaire Elon Musk poses a grave threat to our democratic institutions and the privacy rights of American workers. Granting DOGE access to sensitive federal payment systems and workers' personal data is reckless, illegal, and unconstitutional. This overreach enables potential retaliation against workers and compromises ongoing investigations into labor violations. We must reject these authoritarian measures that undermine the foundations of our republic. The federal government exists to serve the people, not the whims of the wealthy elite. Protecting worker confidentiality and upholding the rule of law are essential to preserving our democracy and the rights of all citizens. DOGE's unchecked power grab cannot stand - it is imperative that we take immediate action to rein in this unconstitutional overreach and restore accountability to the federal government.
