You need to investigate the illegal installation of William Pulte as acting director of national intelligence. Federal law requires the DNI to have "extensive national security expertise." Pulte has none. He's a loyalist nicknamed "Little Trump" who arrived a day early and immediately ordered the firing of roughly 300 counterterrorism professionals. That's not leadership — that's sabotage of the agencies keeping Americans safe. The circumstances of his appointment reek of deliberate manipulation. Trump cancelled Jay Clayton's Senate confirmation hearing on June 17 with just hours' notice, clearing the way for Pulte to step in without any congressional scrutiny. Meanwhile, ODNI is sitting on two unreleased reports — one identifying vulnerabilities in U.S. voting machines, another finding zero evidence of 2020 election fraud — and neither report's recommendations have been acted on. Someone is deciding what intelligence gets buried and what gets weaponized. Congress needs to find out who, and why.
