Budget, security for Kamala Harris, and political violence.

To: Rep. Huizenga, Sen. Peters, Sen. Slotkin

The shooting of Charlie Kirk is not acceptable even though I didn’t agree with his politics. Killing someone to silence them should not be the American way. I also believe those in power should be doing more to calm the country. I also believe this killing is no less horrendous as the murder of the Minnesota speaker Hortman and her husband. So treating it as though it is, is not right. I’m also very concerned about Kamala Harris having her secret service detail pulled by trump. I should think this should be a big topic of conversation in congress. Why isn’t it or is it not making the nightly news. Democrats should be standing up to trump for taking away a former Democratic Vice President’s secret service detail. The budget needs to be done before 9/30/2025. I believe that the democrats need to do what is best for the majority of the country. I also believe the democrats should not support what is harmful to Americans. I believe that the country needs to see the democrats fight back against this regime and if it’s shut the government down then do it but have your talking points ready to defend why a shut down is in our best interests. This budget may be your last chance to get back some of the services Americans depend on; Medicaid, Medicare, SNAP, CDC, and other essential services. So withhold your votes for passing the budget and use them as leverage to regain some of our lost services and possibly some gun controls.
