Congress should not be standing by while a crazy and demented president makes outrageous threats of war crimes to destroy civilian infrastructure in the Middle East. No reasonable person in the United States wants any of this. We do not want to send our children and grandchildren to an unwinnable ground war for unspecified reasons. Closing the Strait is not a legitimate reason since this mess was entirely caused by the toddler in charge. Trump and the Republicans have done so much damage to our country and the entire US government already. It’s time for Congress to take decisive action to get this illegitimate so-called administration under a semblance of control. Take control and enact the War Powers Act to this out of his hands. Get rid of that crazed moron Hegseth if you can, and do what you have to to reinstate the capable, moral generals who would not follow illegal orders. It is inherently unreasonable and stupid to ask US commanders to place soldiers in harms way for illegal or ill considered action which will only escalate conflict and more injury to civilians for no good reason. Enough is enough. It has been extremely hard to understand why Congress has laid down for the destruction of our country, and risk of World War III.
