An Open Letter

To: Sen. Durbin

From: A constituent in Chicago, IL

November 10, 2025

Senator Durbin: You should be ashamed of yourself brokering this funding deal. You have gutted healthcare for your constituents and tarnished your legacy. This will be the defining act of your political career: kowtowing to the GOP right before you retire. You should be ashamed of yourself. I’m ashamed I ever voted for you. I should have voted Republican and saved myself the heartbreak. History will not remember you kindly. Shame.
