Protect Americans- vote no on budget reconciliation 3.0

To: Rep. Loudermilk, Sen. Warnock, Sen. Ossoff

From: A constituent in Woodstock, GA

July 16

I am writing as your constituent to urge you to oppose the proposed budget reconciliation package, often referred to as “Big Beautiful Bill 3.0,” and to reject any effort to advance it without careful deliberation. I have serious concerns about proposals that would significantly increase defense and war-related spending, expand election-related provisions through reconciliation and continue adding to the national debt while many American families are struggling with rising costs. Recent House proposals include billions of dollars in additional defense funding and funding related to election measures, including provisions tied to the SAVE America Act. (Reuters (https://www.reuters.com/world/us/us-house-panel-unveils-95-bln-plan-fund-defense-parts-trumps-voter-id-bill-2026-07-15/?utm_source=chatgpt.com)) Congress should prioritize the challenges Americans face every day: affordable health care, public health preparedness, scientific research, infrastructure, education and economic stability. Continued investments in prevention, medical research and public health save lives and reduce long-term costs. Diverting resources away from these priorities while increasing deficit spending in other areas is deeply concerning. I am also concerned about election-related provisions, including those associated with the SAVE America Act. Any changes to election law should receive full public debate and bipartisan consideration through the regular legislative process, rather than being attached to a budget reconciliation package. Americans deserve confidence that election laws are considered carefully, transparently and with broad public input. The reconciliation process should not become a vehicle for unrelated policy changes or large spending increases without the level of scrutiny such decisions deserve. Congress has a responsibility to exercise fiscal discipline, maintain transparency and ensure taxpayer dollars are spent on priorities that improve the lives of the American people. I was also deeply concerned by legislation enacted in 2025 that made significant changes to health care and other programs. As Congress considers additional legislation, I urge you to carefully evaluate how new proposals would affect access to care, the federal budget, public health and the long-term well-being of American families. I respectfully ask you to vote against this reconciliation package unless these concerns are addressed. I also ask you to work across party lines to develop legislation that is fiscally responsible, transparent and focused on the needs of the American people rather than advancing unrelated policy priorities thro ugh expedited budget procedures. As your constituent, I will be following this vote closely. Thank you for your service and your consideration.
