The administration's move to strip labor protections from over 400,000 federal workers at the Department of Veterans Affairs is an unacceptable attack on collective bargaining rights. Unions play a vital role in advocating for fair working conditions and protecting employees from exploitation. Undermining their ability to negotiate contracts on behalf of their members is a grave injustice that harms hardworking public servants. This action appears to be clear retaliation against unions that have rightfully opposed the administration's efforts to undermine the federal workforce. Denigrating unions as acting against the interests of veterans is a baseless smear intended to justify this overreach. Federal employees, including those at the VA, dedicate themselves to public service - they deserve to have their rights and voices protected through union representation. I urge you to speak out forcefully against this unjustified revocation of union protections. Preserving the ability of workers to bargain collectively through their chosen representatives is essential for safeguarding labor rights and upholding democratic values in the workplace. This anti-union assault must be condemned and reversed to shield federal employees from further retaliation and abuse of power.
