Your response to the invasion of Venezuela says that Congress needs to be “involved as this situation evolves”. Quite true, but the War Powers Act requires Congressional approval BEFORE any such action. The only exception is in a national emergency, which this was not.  Congress needs to ACT immediately and emphatically to stop the illegal actions of this administration, and in particular to stop the continuing and constant dissipation of its constitutional rights and duties. To wait in the sidelines until the President condescends to inform you privately, as he did through Secretary Rubio, is an abdication of your duty, as well as complicity in his crime.
