I am an Arizona constituent, and I am writing to you today because I believe our democracy is at a critical moment — and I need to know that you are willing to act.
I am asking you to do two things: support a formal impeachment inquiry, and use every oversight tool at your disposal to investigate this administration's conduct.
Here is why I believe this is necessary:
This administration has engaged in military action without proper congressional authorization — a direct violation of the War Powers Resolution and the Constitution's separation of powers. It has targeted American citizens in ways that appear designed to silence dissent and punish political opponents. It has shown open contempt for court orders and constitutional limits on executive power. And I have serious doubts about whether the President has the capacity to faithfully carry out the duties of the office.
These are not policy disagreements. They are, in my view, constitutional violations that meet the standard of high crimes and misdemeanors.
I am asking you to:
— Publicly support a Senate impeachment inquiry.
— Open committee investigations into the administration's military actions, targeting of citizens, and defiance of the courts.
— Invoke the War Powers Resolution to reassert Congress's authority.
— Be transparent with your constituents about what you are doing and why.
You were elected to represent us and to defend the Constitution. This is that moment. Please don't let it pass.
