Fight against vaccine misinformation

To: Sen. Blake, Gov. Reynolds, Rep. McBurney

From: A constituent in Des Moines, IA

July 6

The scientific consensus is clear: vaccines do not cause autism. Decades of extensive research involving millions of children have found no link between vaccines and autism spectrum disorder. Vaccines are safe, effective, and critical for protecting public health by preventing outbreaks of deadly diseases like measles, polio, and whooping cough. The current attacks on vaccine programs and recommendations by those in power are deeply concerning and risk eroding our nation's robust vaccination infrastructure. This could lead to declining immunization rates, more preventable illnesses and deaths, especially among vulnerable populations like children and the elderly. I urge you to listen to medical experts, not anti-vaccine activists, and take action to safeguard our vital vaccination programs. Promoting misinformation about vaccines threatens the health and lives of Americans.
