Vote against the KOSA package or lose our votes.

To: Sen. Warnock, Rep. Carter, Sen. Ossoff

From: A constituent in Hinesville, GA

December 5

With the upcoming Senate Judiciary Committee on December 9th, I am voicing my vehement opposition to the KOSA package, the SCREEN Act, STOP CSAM act, and the other bills proposed for the child safety package. I am urging you to seriously and carefully consider the consequences of your vote in favor of these bills, as they will put my family in danger. We are talking about the implications of making people scan their photos and sensitive information to access the Internet while silencing the voices of victims of exploitation and abuse. These concerns, along with concerns about privacy and free expression, are NOT farcial or trivial. If these concerns are dismissed or downplayed in any way, or if these pass into law, I will encourage my family, friends and community to oppose you in midterms, and on any policies that you support or write from then on.
