In what business is it acceptable to raise prices by 40% from one day to the next? if you walked into a store and the price of an manicure went for 100 to 140 dollars you would probably walk out. But #BlueCross finds it acceptable to raise the premium for ~990 per biweekly check to $1390. And do we have a choice? To go without Health Insurance? This is Rape. This is the unregulated marketplace of private health insurance where the net profit of Elevance health, the parent of Blue Cross, in 2024 was 5.98 BILLION dollars. Q1 2025? 2.2 BILLION in net profit... and my Health insurance needs to go up by 40%? to pay CEOs and billionaires on the back of working people? The System Is Broken.
