As your constituent, I'm urging you to block all funding for the relocation and restructuring of the United States Forest Service.
The United States Forest Service protects the health of our forests and the interests of all Americans. This includes our interest in having the clean air and water that forests provide.
Our interests are represented in Washington, D.C., where we send you, our Representative, to make decisions for the good of our nation. Moving the United States Forest Service to Utah is an ill considered move, one that does not protect the health of our forests or the interests of all Americans.
This restructuring rewards those who have sought to use public lands as piggy banks. Announcing this radical restructuring in a press release is an insult to the ideals of democracy that our nation was founded on.
I love the forests. They are special places where families like mine can hike, camp, and spend time together.
As your constituent, I expect you to represent my interests. I urge you to block all funding for the relocation and restructuring of the United States Forest Service until it is voted on by Congress.
