Down with the SAVE Act!

To: Sen. Murray, Rep. Strickland, Sen. Cantwell

From: A constituent in Lacey, WA

April 11

As a Washington resident and US citizen, I am proud of our electoral system. It is a shining example of accessibility, security, and ease of participation. The SAVE Act threatens that system with additional barriers and unwarranted obstacles that threaten to cast uncertainty into all future elections. Particularly heinous is that the bill includes a private right of action, which is a transparent ploy to enable legal vigilantism by malicious parties whose interest to not include free and fair elections. I demand you vote for the motion to cloture and send this bill to the netherworld. Let the States decide if, when, and how they verify the eligibility of their voters, and how the balance the interests of security and equal access to the ballot box for all Americans.
