I am writing to express my deep concerns regarding former President Donald Trump’s past leadership and the potential impact of his policies should he return to office. His tenure was marked by reckless decision-making, a lack of concern for the poor, working, and middle classes, and policies that failed to prioritize the well-being of children and families. Throughout his administration, President Trump enacted policies that disproportionately harmed the most vulnerable among us. From tax cuts that overwhelmingly benefited the wealthy to attempts at dismantling healthcare access for millions, his priorities seemed far removed from the struggles of everyday Americans. His disregard for comprehensive social safety nets put millions at risk, exacerbating economic inequality rather than alleviating it. Furthermore, his administration’s handling of immigration policy, education, and healthcare demonstrated a lack of empathy for children and families in need. The separation of families at the border and the detention of children in inhumane conditions contradicted the very values of compassion and fairness that define America. Meanwhile, his lack of commitment to public education and failure to invest in programs that support working-class families further deepened economic and social divides. America is a democracy founded on principles of diversity and inclusion. Our strength lies in our ability to embrace people of all backgrounds, faiths, and economic statuses. We cannot afford to regress to policies that divide us, foster hatred, and ignore the needs of hardworking citizens. Our elected officials must stand firm in protecting democracy, ensuring that our government works for all people, not just the privileged few. I urge you to stand against any efforts to undermine these fundamental principles. We need leaders who will advocate for policies that uplift working families, protect children, and preserve the democratic values that have long defined our nation.
