SSRIs should not be targeted

To: Rep. Dexter, Sen. Merkley, Pres. Trump, Sen. Wyden

From: A constituent in Portland, OR

February 14, 2025

The most recent executive order targeting SSRIs and anti psychotics is a travesty. These are life saving drugs and there are no reputable studies linking them to outbursts of violence. The relationship between a doctor and a patient is private and it is up to us to choose medical professionals we trust, like it is up to them to treat us. The government does not need to be sticking its nose into something that already works. Reverse course on this, fight this. As a voter and citizen, I have zero trust in RFK to steward my health.
