Petition to Prohibit Interruption of Active Voting and Balloting Procedures

To: Rep. Moolenaar, Sen. Slotkin, Sen. Peters

From: A constituent in Mesick, MI

October 30

I am writing as a constituent to demand immediate legislative action and strict congressional oversight to protect the physical integrity of our voting process. Our elections must remain entirely civilian-led, continuous, and free from administrative or military disruption. Allowing law enforcement, military entities, or non-election officials to execute warrants, seize voting machines, or confiscate ballots while voting is actively underway creates an immediate crisis of voter suppression and subverts the rule of law. Unverified allegations or "suspicion" must never be used as a legal pretext to halt an election or disrupt the chain of custody of active ballots. Therefore, I urge Congress to introduce and support legislation that establishes the following binding mandates: 1 Absolute Prohibition of Active Seizures: No military personnel, federal law enforcement entity, or government official shall bypass established state election statutes to remove, seize, or tamper with voting machines or ballots while voting periods—including early voting and Election Day—are actively underway. 2 Post-Poll Investigation Mandate: Any necessary investigations, challenges, or forensic audits regarding voting equipment or tabulations must be legally deferred until after the voting polls have officially closed and initial counts are secured under standard chain-of-custody protocols. 3 Independent Civilian Oversight: All post-election investigations must be executed strictly by appropriate, legally designated civil authorities, subject to a separate, independent civilian oversight committee to guarantee transparency and eliminate partisan interference. 4 Zero Interruption Policy: Election day procedures must be protected from external interruptions. Mere suspicion of irregularities shall not constitute a legally valid reason to halt voting operations, shut down polling places, or remove electronic voting tabulation hardware.
Our democratic process relies on the uninterrupted right of citizens to cast their ballots securely. I request a formal response detailing your stance on this critical election security matter.
