I attempted to call your office but could not leave a message. Not all of your constituents can call during business hours. Please treat this email as you would a phone call. First, I strongly urge Senator Durbin to vote to pass the Ukraine Support Act. This legislation provides critical aid to our ally and strengthens sanctions against Russia as Ukraine continues to defend itself against the invasion. We need to be on the side if right and that is  Ukraine’s side! Second, I am totally against the construction of the"Independence Arch," the horrendous 250-foot triumphal arch Trumo has proposed for Memorial Circle near Arlington National Cemetery. This is simply a crass Trump vanity project. Federal law requires it have environmental and historic preservation reviews prior to being built , which have not been completed. In addition,  the project must have congressional approval and funding. I ask that you work with your colleagues to make sure this project DOES NOT get approval or funding  and ask that you do whatever you can to block the project. I am not the only one against this ill conceived project. A Washington Post-ABC News-Ipsos poll  found that only 21% of Americans support the arch. So please, don't allow it to be built! Thank you.
