Evaluate Loeffler's priorities for empowering small businesses over corporations

The Senate's confirmation of Kelly Loeffler, a wealthy businesswoman aligned with President Trump, to lead the Small Business Administration raises concerns over prioritizing corporate interests over those of small businesses and entrepreneurs. Loeffler's track record suggests a conservative, pro-big business stance that could undermine the agency's mission of supporting and advocating for the needs of small businesses across the country. We urge an evaluation of Loeffler's policies and appointments to ensure the SBA remains focused on providing critical resources, counseling, and access to capital for small business owners and startups, especially those from underrepresented communities. The agency must prioritize creating an ecosystem that fosters innovation, job creation and economic growth through small businesses, not catering to the agendas of large corporations and powerful interests. Protecting and empowering the nation's small business sector should be the paramount objective under Loeffler's leadership.
