Action Required: Defend Public Health Research and Remove RFK Jr.
I am writing to demand immediate Congressional intervention against the destructive mismanagment of our federal healthcare institutions under Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ)—the cornerstone agency tasked with improving patient safety and medical quality—is being dismantled. Under HHS leadership, staff has been gutted by an estimated 75 percent, and over 100 vital research grants worth more than $250 million have been abruptly canceled. Furthermore, despite Congress appropriating $345 million for fiscal year 2026 to fund this essential agency, tens of millions of dollars are being withheld, stalling lifesaving medical studies in more than 30 states.
This deliberate stripping of resources constitutes a direct sabotage of evidence-based medicine and jeopardizes decades of scientific progress. Congress holds the power of the purse and a duty of oversight. You must exercise your authority to compel the release of legally appropriated funds, restore scientific integrity to HHS, and initiate proceedings to remove Secretary Kennedy from office before our public health infrastructure suffers permanent collapse.
