I am a subcontractor to the federal government. As such, I am required to participate in regular training on protection of government classified and Personally Identifiable Information. I am reminded through annual training that I am subject to prosecution for deliberate or accidental mishandling of this information. All federal workers are subject to these laws. What Elon Musk and his cohorts are doing at the US Treasury goes well beyond breaking the law and it must be punished. To ignore Musk’s behavior with inaction is tantamount to giving sanction to all federal workers to commit the same crimes. Judy Chu, D-CA and another legislator barged into speaker Mike Johnson’s office to convey to him the importance of Elon Musk’s criminal actions. We need this type of energy from our elected representatives. You are our elected representative in government. Please step up to the plate.
