Congress Must Investigate Presidential Financial Gain
Recent reports describe actions by President Trump and business associates that raise serious concerns about personal financial gain intersecting with public office.
These include statements suggesting he could personally benefit from settling a $10 billion lawsuit involving the IRS in which, as president, he is in a position to influence the executive agencies responsible for defending the case, creating an obvious conflict-of-interest concern.
In addition, entities connected to his family received nearly $200 million shortly before his inauguration from investors tied to a new cryptocurrency venture.
These developments add to reporting that President Trump has generated at least $1.4 billion in personal gain since returning to office in 2025.
Given these concerns, please tell me when Congress intends to investigate these matters and what your timeline is for oversight action.
I would appreciate a clear response.
