I am angry that Donald Trump is claiming to be offering $5,000 to voters to get them to support Republicans in the midterms. It’s a felony under U.S. Code 52 section 10307 to offer voters anything in exchange for their vote. Federal law says “Whoever . . . pays or offers to pay . . . for voting shall be fined not more than $10,000 or imprisoned not more than five years.” According to Lawrence Tribe, Trump’s offer is, in fact, an impeachable offense. He says, and we quote: “Bribery is…the second impeachable offense expressly named in the Constitution, right after treason.” Donald Trump needs to be impeached and removed. And Congress needs to demand he stop trying to bribe the voters with a promise that would a) spike inflation and our national debt disastrously and b) we all know is a lie. I am just so sick and tired of all the lying, stealing, crime, and shattering norms Trump gets away with. I remember it was a montha-long scandal when Bill Clinton talked to Loretta Lynch for a few minutes in passing, yet Todd Blanche is actively using the DOJ to shield Trump and showing up at political rallies left and right. Not a peep from you.
