I am writing you today with a very simple message, act. The rule of law is under attack. The free press is under attack. Universities are under attack. Freedom of speech is under attack. Civil liberties are under attack. The constitution is under attack. We are being told diversity is dangerous. Equity is being described as anti-American. Inclusion is being turned into a dirty word. Fear is being used to prevent Americans, including Congress, from speaking the truth. This simple playbook from history is being used in the open by the Trump administration, congressional Republicans, and their enablers. But unlike historic times gone by, Americans are watching as it is all happening to them. Average Americans are acting, and we need every member of congress, regardless of party, to act now. Act with conviction, aggressively, and out loud. Before it is too late. Thank you for your time.
