As your constituent, I’m writing to urge you to protect federal funding for public media by removing the proposed cuts to it in the rescissions package (H.R. 4). PBS has been, and still is, how I learn about the world. Public media stations are essential sources of trusted news, emergency alerts, educational programming, and local storytelling—especially in rural and underserved communities. Eliminating or reducing this funding would severely harm thousands of communities who rely on public media for accurate, accessible, and ad-free content. Please stand up for public media by opposing any cuts to its funding in H.R. 4, and ensure our communities continue to benefit from the critical services public media provides.
