I oppose the Heritage Foundation’s push for legislation to undermine the 44-year-old Plyler v. Doe Supreme Court ruling that protects a child’s access to public education, regardless of immigration status. Since 2025, several states have introduced legislation designed to challenge Plyler. The House Judiciary Subcommittee recently held a hearing in which Republican lawmakers advocated for overturning Plyler. All students deserve access to quality education that promises a brighter future. Please oppose any efforts to deny a child’s right to free and public education.
