I am writing to demand immediate impeachment and removal of President Donald Trump and every government official who participated in the unauthorized military strike on Venezuelan territory. This illegal act of war requires swift and decisive accountability. Today, President Trump confirmed that the United States conducted a strike on a dock in Venezuela, marking the first known U.S. attack on Venezuelan land under this administration. Trump described a "major explosion in the dock area" and admitted to hitting both boats and the "implementation area" after authorizing the CIA to operate inside Venezuela in October. When asked whether the U.S. military carried out the action, Trump dismissively stated "it doesn't matter." Neither the Pentagon, White House, nor CIA has provided confirmation or comment on this strike. This military action was conducted without congressional authorization, which is required under the Constitution for acts of war against sovereign nations. The War Powers Resolution of 1973 explicitly requires congressional approval for military operations except in cases of imminent threat to the United States. Venezuela has not attacked us, declared war on us, or posed any immediate danger to American citizens. This strike is an illegal act of aggression that violates both domestic and international law. Trump has proven himself subservient to Putin while simultaneously betraying America through reckless military adventurism. He has deployed 15,000 U.S. troops to the Caribbean, ordered a complete blockade of Venezuelan oil tankers, and openly threatened President Maduro to step down or face consequences. These actions push us toward an unauthorized war that could destabilize an entire region and cost American lives. Every member of the government who carried out this illegal strike must be held accountable. Congress must act immediately to impeach and remove President Trump and all officials who participated in planning or executing this unconstitutional military action. I urge you to initiate impeachment proceedings now and prevent further illegal acts of war.
