Investigate the Federal Ballot Mail Portal Before It Disenfranchises Millions
To: Sen. Cornyn, Rep. Babin, Sen. Cruz
From: A constituent in Houston, TX
September 1
Investigate the Federal Ballot Mail Portal immediately and demand USPS halt its rollout until its legality and reliability can be verified. A whistleblower has told Congress that this system was built in roughly three months — work that normally takes a year — and wasn't fully assembled for testing until August 24, leaving only days before launch. Its "zero percent failure rate" design means a single scanning error can reject an entire batch of tens of thousands of ballots.
About a third of Americans voted by mail in 2024. A system this fragile, applied at that scale, isn't a technical glitch — it's a mass disenfranchisement event waiting to happen. Senator Blumenthal has already alleged USPS continued building the portal under active court orders to stop, including one issued August 27 that remains in force. USPS has refused to disclose an expected rejection rate, which the whistleblower says was deliberately withheld.
Find out who ordered this work to proceed in defiance of court orders, and make those answers public before a single ballot is scanned.
