I am writing to express concern about the Michigan House’s recent budget proposal that eliminates funding for the Michigan Arts and Culture Council (MACC). Elimination of MACC funding would cause thousands of job losses, suffering in communities that rely on arts and culture, and damage to communities that need it to access essential cultural programs. I urge you to stand against any proposal to reduce MACC funding- and to support full investment in Michigan’s creative community and cultural life.
