Constitutional authority over military action requires Congressional oversight

To: Sen. Schumer, Rep. Stefanik, Sen. Gillibrand

From: A verified voter in Porter Corners, NY

June 22

The current administration's unilateral decision to conduct military strikes against Iran's nuclear facilities without explicit congressional approval raises serious constitutional concerns regarding the separation of powers and authorization for use of military force. This administration has repeatedly shown disregard for democratic norms and civilian oversight in matters of war. Immediate action must be taken through the constitutionally prescribed impeachment process to hold the president accountable for this egregious violation of the public trust and failure to uphold their sworn oath to faithfully execute the laws.
