Please cosponsor Canyon’s Law
The Trump administration’s decision to rescind the 2023 ban on M-44s (commonly known as “cyanide bombs") on public lands is a dangerous step backward for public safety, wildlife protection, and responsible land management. These devices eject deadly sodium cyanide when triggered, causing extreme and prolonged suffering. M-44s have poisoned countless pets and non-target wildlife, injured people, and traumatized families.
Canyon’s Law, named after Canyon Mansfield — who accidentally triggered an M-44 on public lands, resulting in his exposure and the death of his beloved dog, Kasey — would permanently ban these devices on ALL public lands.
