The rapid, unchecked development of artificial intelligence poses serious risks to public safety, and I need you to take a stand against it. Support strong federal AI safety legislation now, before the technology outpaces our ability to control it. AI systems are already making consequential decisions in healthcare, criminal justice, and national security with little oversight and no binding safety standards. The companies building these systems are moving fast and lobbying hard to keep it that way. That has to stop. Back legislation that puts real guardrails on AI development, and oppose any bill that hands the industry a free pass to self-regulate.
