I need you to publicly oppose the Trump administration's May 6, 2026 counterterrorism strategy that falsely labels LGBTQ+ groups and anti-fascist movements as domestic terror threats. This is a transparent attempt to justify surveillance and prosecution of people exercising their First Amendment rights.
The administration is scapegoating trans people while ignoring actual threats. Right-wing extremists carried out 152 domestic attacks killing 112 people over the past decade, according to the Center for Strategic and International Studies. That dwarfs the 35 left-wing attacks and 13 deaths in the same period. Yet the Justice Department deleted its own study showing right-wing extremism outpaces all other domestic terrorism, and DHS eliminated protections against surveilling people based solely on LGBTQ+ identity.
Sebastian Gorka's claims about "transgender ideology" motivating violence have zero evidence. The real pattern is clear: wealthy and powerful interests are using culture war hysteria to distract from their own abuses while targeting vulnerable communities. The administration cut funding for programs countering white supremacist violence and is now suing the Southern Poverty Law Center.
Stand with your constituents, not with an administration manufacturing enemies to expand its power. Condemn this strategy publicly and demand accountability for the deletion of terrorism data.
