I am writing as your constituent to demand that Congress take immediate, bipartisan action to close dangerous legal loopholes regarding the Presidential Line of Succession. While the 22nd Amendment strictly bars any individual from being elected to the Presidency more than twice, constitutional scholars have identified semantic gaps that could theoretically allow a two-term president to hold executive power again. Specifically, the law is ambiguous on whether a two-term president can be appointed as Vice President under the 25th Amendment, or step into the presidency from the line of succession as the Speaker of the House or President Pro Tempore. This ambiguity poses a severe threat to our democratic stability and the peaceful transfer of power. I urge you to introduce or co-sponsor legislation that explicitly amends the Presidential Succession Act of 1947 to declare that any individual who has already served the maximum two terms allowed by the 22nd Amendment is strictly ineligible to serve in any position within the presidential line of succession. Our laws must be airtight. Please protect the integrity of the Constitution and ensure that no individual can ever bypass presidential term limits through back-alley political channels.
