An Open Letter

To: Sen. Schumer, Rep. Tonko, Sen. Gillibrand

From: A constituent in Albany, NY

December 27

2025 has been a tremendous showing of lack of opposition from Congress to this presidential administration. Judicial has been doing its part as court cases come up, but the amount of harm that Congress is letting pass is inexcusable. in 2026. I humbly ask based on all of your expertise that we keep our democracy by resisting the many harms that are surely coming our way. The threats toward immigrants, students, teachers medical professionals veterans on how the LGBTQAI plus community and marginalized folks across this country are more than tremendously damaging people have been dying and people will continue to die unless you guys do something different with the power that you have and if you can’t do that kind of work, please step down so we can elect someone who will.
