Stop Raiding Funds For Inefficient Uses!!! Require Congressional Approval for any change Children’s Education. JD Vance’s attempt to raid US coffers for Stay At Home Parents is disgraceful. See today’s New York Times Article “Trump Officials Draft Plan to Pay At-Home Parents, Using Funds for Working Ones” This plan is ridiculous and needs to be addressed. It underscores the fiscal irresponsibility of this administration: - Dual income households pay taxes into this system - removing one income contribution AND paying out from this fund will increase the already explosive national debt. - Dual income households increase American efficiently and contribute more taxes to reduce our current debt. - These funds employ child care providers and provide child care services at a subsidized cost - removing this has multiple impacts - tax revenues created by this employment (another offset to the cost) disappear, affordable child care potentially disappears, children’s education suffers - American children are less prepared for advancement than we already are. - Rules being drafted by Marco Rubio, now known to lack ethics and have questionable financial motives given his wife’s recently uncovered graft campaign, poses serious questions. This change opens the door to fraud and corruption. Congress and the states must intervene. I do NOT want my tax dollars supporting this plan change. PERIOD.
