The 2025 rescission package is an aggressive move to cancel nearly $9.4 billion in discretionary spending—mostly for public broadcasting and foreign aid. It leverages an expedited congressional process that only needs simple majority votes. Outcomes are uncertain, with political dynamics heavily influencing whether the package gains approval. I want you to work at getting enough republicans to vote no with the democrats on this rescission package. I also want to know what you think about this chaos created by the regime, in Los Angeles? I’m concerned, and want to know what are you doing to stop this from spreading across the states? It’s our right and responsibility to protest peacefully to let our government know what we don’t like. It would be nice if our representatives would protest with us. Or better yet help organize protests to be more productive and peaceful. I hope you are taking notes on how to better strengthen our democracy so one branch of the government cannot take over. As a citizen of a supposedly rule of law government I don’t understand how so many laws are being broken and no one is arrested or charged? My best guess is the president and his cabinet along with all of the republican congressional members are performing a coup. Shouldn’t the Democratic congressional members and the DOJ have authority to stop this from occurring? I feel very threatened that the executive branch has control of the military, FBI, CIA and US Marshals that he can use against citizens. I also want that BBB destroyed and not passed. There is way too much stuff in this massive bill that is not budget related, ie no contempt of court. This bill is the way the Heritage Foundation Project 2025 and Republicans will take over our government. There will no longer be 3 equal branches of the government, no checks and balances. No more elections. Thank you
