Co-sponsor and pass the Ban Flock Act. Flock's network of over 120,000 cameras records 20 billion vehicles per month, tracking where people go without their knowledge or consent. That includes visits to the doctor, school drop-offs, protests, and even women seeking abortions across state lines.
This is not a hypothetical threat. Flock has already shared state data with federal immigration authorities, and law enforcement has used it to surveil activists at Palestinian rights and "No Kings" demonstrations. Hackers who examined a single roadside Flock camera found it had photographed over 50,000 vehicles and generated 1.6 million images in just three weeks.
The Ban Flock Act would prohibit federal agencies from using automatic license plate readers, cut federal funding to state and local governments that use them, and give Americans the right to sue when their rights are violated. This bill is a direct check on unchecked surveillance. Support it.
