Protect Freedom of Religion

To: Sen. Blackburn, Rep. DesJarlais, Sen. Hagerty

From: A constituent in Rockvale, TN

April 24

The formation of a federal task force to combat "anti-Christian bias" is concerning from the perspective of protecting religious freedom for all. While the initiative purports to safeguard the rights of Christians, it risks infringing upon the liberties of other faiths and non-religious individuals. True religious freedom means allowing all beliefs and philosophies to coexist without prioritizing one over others. Promoting a specific religion through government policy undermines the fundamental principle of separation of church and state enshrined in the Constitution. A balanced approach that upholds the rights of all Americans, regardless of their religious or non-religious worldviews, is essential to preserving the diversity and pluralism that define our nation. I urge you to reconsider this initiative and instead focus efforts on fostering an environment of mutual understanding and respect among all belief systems.
