The Trump administration is not testing the Constitution's limits — it is ignoring the Constitution entirely. You need to act. Congress must reassert its authority over taxation, trade, and war before those powers are gone in practice, whatever the law says on paper. The evidence is not subtle. Trump imposed sweeping tariffs on 99.4% of U.S. trade partners under emergency powers the Supreme Court struck down as unconstitutional. Rather than come to Congress, the administration cycled through legal workarounds — Section 122, then Section 301 — hunting for any unlocked door. Article I, Section 8 gives Congress the power to lay tariffs. That is not ambiguous. On war powers, Trump launched attacks on Iran, then declared a two-week ceasefire to reset the 60-day War Powers clock — a maneuver legal analysts say has no basis in law, history, or practice. Now his administration is planning a triumphal arch on federal land in Washington without the congressional authorization the Commemorative Works Act explicitly requires. Every one of the 40-plus memorials placed on federal land since 1986 came to Congress first. Trump said in August 2025: "I have the right to do anything I want to do. I'm the president." That is not how this government works. Use every legislative and oversight tool available to push back — now, before the precedents set in this term become permanent.
