I am writing with profound anger and heartbreak to demand that you support a comprehensive congressional investigation into the Jeffrey Epstein documents and ensure accountability for every person implicated in these crimes against women and children.
We are talking about the systematic abuse of dozens of girls and young women over decades. These were children whose lives were shattered by powerful men who believed they were untouchable. When President Trump tells us to "move on," he is asking us to abandon these survivors and ignore evidence that his name appears more than 6,000 times in the released documents. A 2011 email from Epstein to Ghislaine Maxwell specifically referenced Trump, stating "I want you to realize that that dog that hasn't barked is Trump. [Victim] spent hours at my house with him,, he has never once been mentioned." This is not innocence. This is silence that demands explanation.
The Department of Justice's announcement that there are no grounds for new prosecutions is a betrayal of every woman and girl who suffered at Epstein's hands. The DOJ temporarily removed FBI tips from 2016 from their website, claiming they contained "unfounded and false" allegations, but who made that determination? An administration with an obvious conflict of interest. Meanwhile, survivor Lisa Phillips has identified critical violations including the release of survivors' names without permission, adding fresh trauma to women who have already endured unspeakable harm.
These survivors were promised justice when Congress mandated this document release in November. Instead, they are being told to accept that powerful men will face no consequences while their own identities are exposed without consent. This is unconscionable.
I support Senator Chuck Schumer's demand for unredacted documents and a full accounting of all evidence. I urge you to support legislation establishing an independent commission with subpoena power to compel testimony from all relevant witnesses, including the president. These women and children deserve justice, not a cover-up.
